[NEWS] TOKIO's Tatsuya Yamaguchi is Divorced After 8-Year Marriage to Former Model

AUGUST 5, 2016 -- On the fifth of August, a document was published by the agency stating that TOKIO's Tatsuya Yamaguchi (44) and his wife, a former model, had divorced after eight years of marriage.

Having dated for eight years prior to their wedding, Yamaguchi married the woman five years his junior in March of 2008. In May of that same year, their eldest son was born, with their youngest following in September of 2010.

Among the five members of TOKIO, Yamaguchi was the first to be married, but has also become the first to be divorced.

On the birth of his second son, Yamaguchi expressed publicly how indulgent he was of him.

Yamaguchi intends to have a press conference in Tokyo later today.

Omg I just watched the press conference and it was so weird to see him smiling and making jokes throughout it. They even asked if his injury from last month was related to this. I feel so bad for him it seems like they've been trying to make it work for 3 years and his wife initiated the divorce discussion. I think he said he will live within a 5 minute walk from where his kids will so that is good at least...

Ugh I just feel horrible for him having to go through all this explanation to the press, it must be hard enough without all of that.

This is a sad news hope gussan stay strong in facing this stage of his life.
He still love his family. I bet it's not his choice. But there is no other way for them to stop arguing.
It must be a torture for the other member seeing gussan do the conference. I bet if it was them they don't want gussan to do the conference.
But if this will make him at peace its fine. What ever makes him happy.

Btw, I just found you by google recently while trying to catch up with TOKIO's updates (I've been following Tomoya since 1997.) I was trilled and laughed like mad reading what you wrote and this post is the first one I can't laugh.
