There's a super typhoon coming to my country and school's been cancelled and shit so here I am before I die in the water.

I'm a hardcore Kenta Kiritani fan and constantly think about his lovely face shape and the cute slur he has when he talks, so when I heard he was gonna have a new drama I was like HELL YEAH.

Then I found out JUMP's Yamada was in it and I was like "lol, ok" and I figured someone would sub it because isn't JUMP like stupid popular? Or something like that? BUT IT TURNS OUT NO-ONE IS SUBBING IT???

I'm not gonna do it within the fall season 'cause I'm gonna focus on Kaseifu no Mitazono (and I still gotta balance my subbing shit with schoolwork and work-work), but man, if nobody ends up picking it up maybe I will once KaseMita's over. Because apparently jdramacity only continues to upload raws if the drama's being subbed, and if the raws to Cain & Abel aren't posted weekly and therefore I don't get to see Kenta's face every week like a druggie then clearly we have a problem here.

Maybe I can just get the DoA torrents, but that shit's way too HD for my crappy 5 year old laptop, so. ;_;

Anyway I don't know what the point of this post was but I want to touch Kenta's face with my dirty, sinful hands.

Also KaseMita comes out on Friday! Has anyone heard the preview for Ai! Wanna be with you yet? It's fucking awesome and you can find it here. yume_forever mentioned it sounds like Blink-182 or Sum 41 and I gotta agree with her.

Apparently the theme is too dark for some people, even I know a lot of JUMP's and Yamachan's fans who don't want to watch it because of the theme, I personally thought the drama sounds interesting tho, and I've always loved East of Eden QAQ
and yeah no one wants to sub it as per now, would be forever thankful if you decided to take it although it might take a lot of time ><

Whoa, what's East of Eden? Is that what it was based off? I thought there was a Korean drama or something that it takes its content from, but I'm not sure. And when I watched the drama itself the opening credited the original Cain & Abel story from the Bible, so that was like... whoa.

I'm considering it! I watched episode 1 and the content itself is interesting; it's the first drama with Yamada that I've seen and his acting is surprisingly better than I expected it to be? didn't he win an award lol Hilariously my favourite part about the drama is his dynamic with Kenta and the history they have together, but I feel the drama's gonna end up ruining that horribly. XD; Like, I love Kenta, but if it's really based off the Bible and he kills Yamada because of a girl of all things, I can't even...

East of Eden is a novel by John Steinbeck about a family in the Salinas valley, and 2 brothers who are the opposites of one another. It was made in a movie [1955] with James Dean [ a pretty bad one in my view]. There are some parallels withe the biblical story, but vague.

I think, most of his "active" fans are relatively young, while the sort of older fans are busy with uni , work and stuff. But then, dramas/movies of other members, get sub fast. That's weird

Doesn't Nakajima get subs quickly? I wonder why Yamada isn't. I thought HSJ fandom was more like Arashi fandom in the sense that subbers everywhere are scrambling to translate shit because of some strange, unspoken competition, hahaha.

Yes, his movie Pink & Gray was subbed just weeks after the dvd release, i think. Even Inoo, who's popularity is way beyond Yamada, whenever he's got drama/movie/sp someone would sub it.

It's weird, his Ansatsu movies has been subbed neither by any Jump fans. Also, there's been a decline in subbers and raw sharers these past few years. I think it's has something with the attitude of the fans (i don't know if you know the issue between Filipino Jump fans)

Yup yup, he was in so many dramas. I thought he was one of the most popular ones. But indeed subbing and editing each episode needs a lot of time. And real life calls. I said before that there still people to give from their free time and subbing dramas is really a miracle. So we must be more than thankful. Though I think there will be someone subbing it. ^o^

Yeah, it takes me roughly 8 hours or so to finish subbing one episode, lmfao. But it's not so bad! TOKIO's variety shows are much more difficult to translate than dramas are for sure.

I just thought that it'd be like Arashi's situation where whenever a member releases some new drama/movie/etc. it'd get subbed immediately. :x

Yamada is pretty popular. He's my favorite in JUMP as well. But while I know there are a lot of fans who say Yamachan is their bias, I haven't really encountered any who are also subbers. Or even sharers. I'm guilty of this as well haha. As far as I've seen lately, the JUMP sharers and subbers have been busy, or have gone on a semi-hiatus. The comms have been quiet for a good few years now, with only the occasional stuff appearing.

Regarding this drama, I think the genre plays a role too. I personally don't like romance all that much, (I don't like the emotional roller coaster dramas and such tend to do), so I wasn't really planning on watching it now either. I probably will eventually though.

tl;dr I'm not surprised it's not being shared or subbed. I'd probably give it a week before raws are more available. English subs, I won't hold my breath for. At least not for quite a while.

Also, hope you're doing okay - typhoons sound so scary D: (I've been spoiled with living in mild weather year round)

And yeah, I'm not much for romance either (which is why I didn't watch Ohno's SekaiMuzu), but I'm a sucker for Kenta and so I gave it a shot anyway. And it was great, honestly--until the bit where Yamada's character's feelings for Kenta's girlfriend came up towards the end. :| Like god damn it, it was so good and then y'all had to bring that petty shit in, smh.

Haha, ikr? I only recently heard that HSJ is getting more popular and is termed "the next Arashi", but my first reaction was ".. wut. are you serious?" XD
Maybe it's just this corner of JUMP fans. I'm sure there are Chinese fans who can rival Arashi fans, but access/availability is pretty meh in my part of the internet :(

The typhoon was reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaally bad. My street doesn't flood so much, but there're parts in my village that do, and so from my window I could see floods that were like 1m+ high. :3rz Which isn't even the worst, 'cause there're areas with floods that went 3m+ high and it's insane. It's sad 'cause only a few months ago a huge typhoon hit, and it pretty much ran through the same places that this typhoon ran through this time and it's... guh. I'm luckily unhurt, but it's really tough. ;;; I'm just glad my family lives more south and the typhoon didn't even touch those areas (I hear there wasn't any rain at all, even!).

I haven't seen KaseMita yet, oh man. ;_; I'm probably gonna end up watching tomorrow since I'll be starting the subbing process by then, assuming the phone lines work again and my stupid wi-fi decides to come back. :D;;;; Right now I'm on mobile data and finding signal for it is already hard enough... BUT HOW WAS EPISODE 1? WAS IT GOOD? IS MITAZONO-SAN THE DO-S I IMAGINED HIM BEING? Will I be increasingly gay for Mabo again? And was the Japanese simple... Fragile was such hell to translate, I'm hoping with this being in a family setting that it won't use such complicated language...

Oh my gosh that sounds awful even 1 meter is so much :O I'm glad you and your family are okay though! This year has been so bad with typhoons it needs to stop...

And it was good! I had no idea what to expect but Mabo is hilarious and the height difference with the other maid actress is so ridiculous. He is so evil and manipulative and it's amazing lol And the Japanese was pretty simple (except from a few political scenes where I only knew shady stuff was going down) so I think it will be much easier to translate. Also we even get maid tips from Mabo (this one scene in particular reminds me of BBC's Sherlock??? Let me know later if I'm crazy or not)

I WATCHED IT, which I'm sure you can tell, and it was hilarious. The bit where he was sneaking around to take pictures in the bathroom slayed me because Mabo's bra slipped too low and I was like PLEASE, MABO.

And honestly the bit with him shaving his legs saved my sexuality I'm so fucking gay.

I've never seen BBC Sherlock, but I saw Kaoru's housekeeping tips! :D It's kind of hilarious how it just cut in the middle of the episode like??? SUDDEN FOURTH WALL BREAKING??????

Okay, I have... admittedly never seen Crow's Zero... BUT MAYBE I WILL, FOR HIM.

Cain & Abel so far is interesting, from what I've seen in the first episode, but given the storyline will involve Yu (Abel) falling for Ryuichi (Cain)'s girlfriend and stuff, I'm not really looking forward to any further developments. I'll keep watching for Kenta and pray for the best, but if they play the shifts in relationship terribly then I'll probably end up dropping it. 8D;; No steady source for finding RAWs makes it difficult to get it, too, especially since DoA's stuff is way too HD for me.

KaseMita, meanwhile, I'm really looking forward to! I've only seen screencaps of the ep so far and am waiting for jdramacity to upload the raw, but it's currently in encoding status and I'm just hoping it's uploaded tomorrow so I can have the subs up by either Monday or Tuesday. MABO IN DRAG!!!

What??? You've never seen Crow's Zero?I? Well, I have to admit that I watched it because of Oguri Shun. This was when I first got into to J-dramas/J-movies and the only other person I was familiar with was Yamada Takayuki. But after the movie, I found Kiritani Kenta and Takaoka Sosuke. =) If you watch Crows Zero 2, Ayano Gou and Miura Haruma are in it. Not sure if you're fans of theirs. But, yeah, it was kinda violent, but if you're looking for good-looking Kenta, this was a good one.

I see you posted KaseMita episode 1. I'll have to get it when I have a chance. Thanks for subbing/sharing. =)
