It usually happens whenever one subs/translates an Arashi show lol. I got that when I translated the V6 VS Arashi SP x) It's the mad Arashi fangirl power I tell you. Speaking of which, did you see the news about that poor girl who's getting bashed on twitter for grabbing Nino's arm during the Music Station Super Live? Apparently she's scarred so bad by the rabid fangirls demanding apologies ("what if Nino's arm had broken!?" ... oh please it's not like she's got Okada-level grip strength y'know) that she doesn't dare leave her house. I think we've talked about this before too but the Arashi fangirls are really, really scary ._. *is an Arashi fangirl herself but...*

I don't think all Arashi fangirls are scary, but there're just the really terrifying obsessed ones... which I'm sure most of the Johnny's must have on account of their sparkly idol image and however that tends to turn out in people's heads. :/ That she's scared of leaving her house is horrible, though. Did they leak her personal information on the Internet or something? JUST for getting to touch an idol she loves? rip...

Of course not all the fangirls are crazy, but somehow or another they seem to attract the most crazies... HAHA. I mean, as a whole the V6 fandom for example is known for being well-mannered and kind. Like, when members throw stuff to the fans, they don't snatch. Or, when there are extra streamers they pass them around instead of hogging them. On the other hand Arashi fangirls (AraSICKs/アラシック on forums like ガルちゃん) just somehow have a bad image, whether or not it's caused just by a few black sheep. I think one of the most disgusting things I heard of the Arashi fangirls was during Ohno's scandal earlier this year when there were fans who waved uchiwa with messages that dissed Ohno and told him to leave Arashi. That is NOT being a fan.

Aren't Japanese fans sort of like that when scandals are concerned? Or at least I get the image that they can get pretty harsh on forums like 2ch and all that... Given that Ohno has a huge fanbase it sort of feels like "betrayal" whenever rumours of romantic things come along, maybe. I have no idea if Arashi will ever reach the age where their fans will go "I hope (member) gets married!", but I hope they do soon 'cause they're reaching their mid-thirties and I don't even. :|
I think it depends on the fans... Some do, like the SMAP fans, or Fukuyama Masaharu fans, and of course the Arashi fans... And I think the most recent would be the Perfume fans (most recent scandal). But I don't seem to see it as much, or at least with as much intensity, for some celebs... Maybe it's just a matter of how popular they are? Or the image of both parties? When Inocchi and Seto Asaka were rumoured to be dating, and even when they confirmed that they were dating, and eventually got married, the response always seemed to be relatively positive, because both have clean images and it was a long relationship (so it doesn't look like they're both players).
I thiiiink the vast majority of fans are okay with MatsuJun and Inoue Mao's relationship because of the Hanadan connection and Mao's good image (plus it's been freaking 10 years). If it's even true to begin with lol. Every few months they're rumoured to be getting married but nothing has happened, latest article says wedding bells will ring later this month or next month, but who knows? Ironically, if it's false and MatsuJun were to announce that he was marrying someone else, I think the fallout would be intense XD
Since you're interested in Fragile, apparently MJ was 内定-ed to be the lead, but rumour has it he had to decline it because of the impending wedding announcement, and that's how it landed with Nagase ._. idk.
