Super quick entry!

1. I know there're Arashi fans who've added me to their lists for the TOKIO x Arashi talks I subbed last New Year's. If you're still interested in those, let me know! I've been getting to my friends requests rather slowly, so I don't want to add anyone who might just be angry with me for taking so damn long and have given up on it. :B Also if you comment on this entry I'll add you immediately.

2. Future projects once I finish Fragile are listed here. Obviously, those without links are the ones I plan to do. Some of these videos need raws, which you'll see in the description, so I'd appreciate any help if anyone finds any. Also, I'm always looking for timers (and typesetters? Maybe?) to help me out! If you know anyone planning to sub them, let me know 'cause they'll probably finish before I do.

3. TYTD is coming out this March! I'm not sure when the DVD release is, but I'll be subbing it when the time comes. Again, if you know someone who might want to do it, tell me!

4. I want to open requests for TOKIO songs or NagaSta recordings you'd like to see translated, so I'll probably set up an entry for that soon.

5. I'm considering translating TOKIO Kakeru weekly again once Fragile is finished, but IDK. I'm looking at the Kamiki episode, though, 'cause who DOESN'T love TYTD?

6. TOKIO subbing group, anyone? Maybe?

That's all from me! Title is the TOKIO song I'm listening to right now for no other reason except that I love it. If you haven't heard it yet, click here and press play 'cause that shit is lovely.

ah making a TOKIO subbing team sounds nice!! *volunteers to help!!*
though my speciality is to encode rather than time & typeset, but if you really create a TOKIO subbing team I'll gladly join and help out with timing & typesetting (I can only time & typeset for short videos though..) and encode ^_^

I've always been considering it, but of course I'm kind of wary about the expectations that come when you create an actual group--like people are gonna start expecting more releases from you and stuff like that. Add in the fact that I'm still not confident with my translations most of the time and it's really... XD;

But working on subs mostly on my own is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaally taxing most days, so I wonder if this'll be easier to do.

What do you use for encoding, though? :o I think it'd be a great help since I use VirtualDub for the most part and the quality of the videos usually aren't so nice.

yeah... people actually expects a lot from you T-T....
actually working on your own takes longer than working together (provided that there's no delay or anything), it's somewhat easier since you don't have to work on everything yourself XD
hmm, I usually use VirtualDub too, but the quality seems fine. (though there are other options like MeGUI or Freemake but those kind of kill the quality if you use other program after encoding, based on what I heard from others.)
maybe it's because of the settings in VirtualDub that ruin the video's quality I guess...

Yeah, I'm sure working with other people is easier! The only issue I have, again, is that a group is so official and I feel like my translations aren't good enough to be official and you know XD; I'm subbing Fragile right now and there're a lot of nuances I KNOW I'm not getting right, so it's like... :3TL I mean it'd be nice to find someone willing to edit my translations because honestly I'm the worst at switching from Japanese -> English... /cries

AND YEAH IT'S PROBABLY THE SETTINGS?? I really don't like making huge filesizes for people, though. :( Like when I do TokiKake episodes I try to keep it less than 300MB for the HQ stuff 'cause that's usually the ideal filesize for 30 minute shows for me. XD;

What settings do you use for compression? And what codecs for the video/audio? I'M SO CURIOUS HOW YOUR QUALITY ENDS UP GOOD.

then it's best if you find a spot translator (it helps somehow) XD~
uwa, 300mb... I would probably make it about 500-600mb... for a 30 minute show XD
I used xvid mpeg-4 codec for video compression (you need to change the configure to about 3~4 or at most 4.3~4.5; beyond that you might ruin your quality even though you're getting a smaller sized file!), and mpeg layer-3 codec for audio compression XD

The issue is that there aren't a lot of TOKIO translators in the fandom any more, so it's hard to find a spot translator. :3TL BUT OH WELL. My mistakes aren't that big, anyway, and hopefully people won't really notice the difference 8D;;

Oh my God, though, I use the same codec for video compression and made the setting 10... because yeah, I like smaller sizes. ;;; And also my upload speed is SUPER slow, so if I made 600MB files every time it'd take me a day to upload them. T_T My Internet is honestly the worst.

yeah *sigh*... it's okay, don't worry about mistakes, people are more glad to see it subbed rather than mistakes (if there is any XD)

wow.... O_O... if you need me to help you encode, just tell me HAHAHAHA I'll be more then delighted to XD
